Express Philosophy
Our goal is to assemble players who understand the fun, enjoyment, and social benefits of playing ice hockey, rather than the strict, competitive environment which exists far too often and we all know can be very intimidating.
Most of our players fall into 2 categories: They love the game of hockey, but have been playing for 3 years or less; OR they are women who skated at an earlier time in their life and want to get back out on the ice, without all the aggravations that comes with a typical travel hockey program.
The Lady Express Hockey Team started with one goal in mind – to allow new players to play the game in a fun, non-discriminating, stress-free environment. The team has never been about winning. There are no try-outs – there are no cuts. Every woman is given a chance to skate on this team! All that is asked of each player is to step on the ice, try her best and have fun. We are a purely recreational hockey team that plays for the love of the game.
